Instructor

Born and raised in the Des Moines area, Sydne Archer started taking ballet classes at the age of three and quickly gained a passion for performing. Now with over 17 years of experience, she has trained in numerous styles of dance both locally and at institutions across the U.S., including Cincinnati Ballet, Nashville Ballet, and American Midwest Ballet. For her senior year of high school, Sydne moved to Cincinnati to attend the Cincinnati Ballet Academy, where she performed with Cincinnati Ballet’s 2nd company in their 2023 production of Beauty and the Beast.

Since returning to Iowa, Sydne has worn many hats for local organizations such as Iowa Dance Theatre and Iowa Choreography Festival as a dancer, costumer, rehearsal director, and producer. She is also working towards a degree in Fashion from Des Moines Area Community College.

Sydne looks forward to creating an inclusive and uplifting environment for every student to express themselves through dance.

Gold Enrichment Class

Thursday 4:00pm-4:30pm

The fall semester of Sydne’s Gold Enrichment Class will feature 8 weeks of stretch & flexibility, followed by 8 weeks of ballet conditioning.
