Primary dance is a combination class of ballet, tap, and jazz. Dancers learn the fundamentals of ballet and tap, including proper terminology and classroom etiquette. A jazz warm up is introduced at this level. Emphasis is placed on building self-confidence in a structured, supportive environment. Skills learned in this class help facilitate the dancer’s transition to the core curriculum classes.

Ages 6-7, recital option available.

Leotard (any color) and pink tights
Shoes
Pink ballet slippers, black patent tap shoes: ribbon-tie, buckle, or velcro are all acceptable
Hair
Hair must be neatly secured away from the face and neck
Longer hair should be pulled back into a bun, ponytail or braids

Shorts or joggers and form fitting t-shirt (any color)

Black ballet slippers, black oxford-style laced tap shoes
