GOLD Enrichment Classes

Our GOLD enrichment program gives dancers the opportunity to explore new styles, strengthen specific techniques, and build confidence through focused, short term classes. These semester-long classes, that offer a different emphasis every eight weeks, are designed to complement our core training. These courses support technical development, artistic growth, physical conditioning, and performance skills through passionate instruction. This enrichment series provides the extra components necessary to create the most well-rounded dancers.

This class focuses on building strength, endurance, and body awareness to support a dancer’s technical development and performance ability. Through targeted exercises and movement training, dancers improve control, stability, and physical preparedness for all dance styles. This class may include core, strength, cardio, and balance exercises. Ages 11+

Turns classes strictly focus on developing the techniques needed for balance, control, and momentum while turning. Dancers will work on proper alignment, spotting, and core engagement to improve consistency and precision while exploring a variety of different turns. Different levels will focus on progressing the number and difficulty of turns appropriate for each dancer’s ability. Ages 11+

This class focuses on improving overall flexibility, leg strength, and extensions to produce a stronger jump technique. Through a combination of stretching, strengthening, and conditioning exercises, dancers will learn to elongate their bodies, improve balance, and gain greater control and height in their jumps. The class will also focus on a variety of different jumps, helping dancers build power, precision, and artistry in the air. Ages 11+

An improv (improvisation) class teaches dancers how to create movement spontaneously rather than learning set choreography. It focuses on creativity, musicality, confidence, and intentional movement choices while responding to music and/or prompts. This is especially helpful for auditions. It is also beneficial for transitions in set choreography. Ages 14+

A composition class in dance teaches dancers how to create, structure, and develop their own choreography. It focuses on the creative process behind making dances. This helps dancers understand how movement, music, space, and artistic choices come together to form a complete work. This class includes training in collaboration, feedback, and revision.  Ages 14+

This class focuses on the study and performance of classical ballet repertoire, allowing dancers to refine technique, musicality, artistry, and stage presence. Through focused coaching and exploration of iconic variations, dancers develop confidence, expressions, and a deeper understanding of ballet tradition. Ages 14+

Dynamic stretching focuses on preparing the body for movement through active stretching, mobility exercises, and controlled movement patterns. Unlike traditional static stretching, dynamic stretching uses motion to gradually increase range of motion, coordination, and muscle activation. Dancers improve range of motion, strength, control, and body awareness to support all dance techniques. Ages 14+

This class applies Pilates principles to develop core strength, proper alignment, flexibility, balance, and body awareness. Through controlled mat-based exercises, dancers improve stability, movement efficiency, and sustained strength to support technical training, performance, and injury prevention. Mat Pilates complements all styles of dance because it develops the underlying physical qualities that every dancer relies on, regardless of genre. Ages 14+

This class adapts ballet technique to the floor to develop alignment, core strength, flexibility, turnout, and body awareness. Through controlled, low impact exercises, dancers improve movement efficiency, stability, and control while creating a solid foundation for technical development. Floor barre is beneficial for dancers of many styles – not just ballet- as it enhances body awareness, strength, and movement quality that transfer to all dance disciplines. Ages 14+

This class focuses on developing strength, stability, mobility, and control in the feet and ankles. Dancers improve balance, articulation, and efficient movement patterns. Strong, healthy feet are essential for balance, relevés, jumps, turns, pointe work, and injury prevention. This is valuable for all ages and styles of dance because healthy feet provide the foundation for nearly every movement in dance. Ages 9+

This class focuses on increasing lower body flexibility, active range of motion, strength, and control. Dancers will work on extensions that emphasize lengthening the legs from the pelvis to create long, clean lines. The goal is not only to improve flexibility but also develop the strength needed to safely maintain and use that flexibility in dance. Ages 9+

This class helps dancers develop the artistic and expressive side of dance. Rather than focusing on technique, this class emphasizes how to communicate emotion, character, and intention through movement. This helps dancers connect more authentically with both the choreography and the audience. This class complements every dance style because performance quality transforms movement into meaningful communication. Ages 8-12

This class is designed for performers who want to expand their stage skills. Dancers will sing along with the songs while exploring choreography, musical interpretation, character development, and stage presence. This class provides a welcoming environment to build confidence and performance ability. Ages 8-12
